In general, cyanobacterial blooms are common events linked to the eutrophication of water bodies. They pose a significant risk to public health and ecosystems due to their production of toxic metabolites. Because cyanobacteria (CB) and cyanotoxins can reach the population through drinking-water treatment plants, they must be monitored as part of routine analyses in reservoirs supplying potable water. Typycally, this monitoring is carried out in accordance with national regulations for certain cyanotoxins. Within the CYANOA project, we will develop:
