Obtaining a new biological material for the verification of molecular microbiological detection techniques
Project Description
The main objective of the project is to develop a method for isolating Legionella pneumophila cells using specific immunomagnetic supports, along while maintanining a very low level of agression.
To achieve these objectives, different sources of the target microorganism (Legionella pneumophila) will be evaluated in the project as a raw material for the processing or treatment steps required to obtain a final producto with a high proportion of target cells (those intended for final detection), either free or only minimally aggregated.
