SADAR

Advanced Digital System for the Control of Reclaimed Water Quality

INNCAD/2021/96

Description

The SADAR project aims to develop an innovative platform for monitoring reclaimed water wuality based on microbiological parameters. Its main goal is to digitalize the entire information-generation process carried out at  water-reclamation facilities, traditionally known as wastewater (EDAR).

Increase the efficiency and digitalization of the current system for detecting microbiological parameters in wastewater treatment plants (EDAR)

Improvement of the effectiveness of risk-management systems for the proper management of reclaimed water.

Design of a digital device for the rapid and efficient measurement of microbiological parameters required by regulations.

Reduction of the time required to report the microbiological status of reclaimed water.

Facilitate access to information for the management bodies of wastewater treatment plats (EDAR)

Development of a rapid detection system with a low detection limit to ensure the PathLab device complies with current regulations.

Define the feasibility of new virus pre-concentration studies and their incorporation into the PathLab device.

EUROFINS ACTIVITY | IPROMA

Validation of system for detecting bacteria and protozoa, developed and verified at laboratory scale and benchmarked against current ISO standards.

Development of methods compatible with PathLab for pathogen detection.

PathLab prototype validation in the laboratory against ISO standards.

Methodology for the future development of IoT biosensors for different pathogens.

Validation and integration of the IoT PathLab system in wastewater treatment plants (EDAR) for pathogen monitoring in reclaimed water.
